QUICK STIX

Quick Stix is the perfect sport to help young people to find their confidence, learn key life skills and meet new friends in a supportive environment. We welcome players of all abilities, with programs catering for ages 6 plus.

Quick Stix is a national program by Lacrosse Australia and replaces the legacy modcrosse program. It is a free-flowing form of lacrosse for students to start learning the game. It is simple to teach and learn, and a perfect sport for both primary and secondary school children.

Development

We recognise the importance of growing our great game and sharing our passion with the local community. We have a number of active development programs to promote lacrosse and provide opportunities at the junior level to “have a go”.

The Club’s Development staff work closely with schools in the local area to run lacrosse development activities, in conjunction with Sporting Schools Australia programs. This can include lacrosse clinics, carnivals and Lacrosse Australia’s Quick Stix program.

Each program is designed to teach students fundamental lacrosse skills, build their interest in the game and provide a pathway to the club’s modcrosse program.

Many Wembley players have come through these development programs over the years to then play in club junior and senior teams - some have even represented Australia!

QUICK STIX LACROSSE

Wembley Lacrosse is taking on Lacrosse Australia’s Quick Stix product junior Modcrosse program for 2025. Quick Stix is a modified version of Lacrosse designed for younger players and beginners as an entry level pathway. The rules are simplified with less players on the field for more ability for higher repetition of skills learnt at a faster rate, and increasing ability for inclusivity.

Our Development Officers run Quick Stix Clinics at primary schools at schools in the local area. They cover basic skills, rules and game play over five sessions, with all equipment provided. Supported by Sporting Schools Australia.
